Description
Born on 1989 in Quezon City, Philippines, Monserrat Muros is an avant-garde, impressionist and collage artist. She was raised in an "artistic" environment with her artist father, Herman Muros, influencing her early years. What began as a child's play, her initial scribbles with charcoal pencils paved the way to her art exploration all through her primary and secondary education years. In 2010, she graduated Fine Arts major in BS Interior Design in University of Santo Tomas and passed her board examination on October 2011.
Her primary influence is Vincent Van Gogh as reflected in her works. Her training in interior designing enabled her to explore other art forms and create a convergence of avant-garde, impressionism and collage art. She started joining exhibits and workshops as her stepping stone towards exploration for further studies.
